The Connellsville Soccer
Club would like to welcome everyone to the spring 2010 season.
I’m sure everyone has been waiting to get outside after
the winter we have had.
Now we just hope the spring will cooperate with us so we
can get the fields dried out and start playing some soccer.
With that being said, please be patient with the coaches
and the club, we are doing everything possible to keep the
playing fields in the best condition as possible so we can make
it through the season.
Fundraiser / T-Shirt
With the season quickly
approaching we would like to remind everyone that the fundraiser
due date is April 10th.
You will have needed to sell seven items for each child
with the maximum of two children per family.
If you took the fundraiser instead of a buyout, your
fundraiser money must be turned in to receive your child’s game
t-shirt. We will be
collecting the fundraiser the week before and also passing out
shirts. Coaches are
not responsible for your shirt pick up.
This is the schedule for shirt pick up:
Monday April 5th
U-12
Tuesday April 6th U-10
Wednesday April 7th
U-6
Thursday April 8th U-8
Friday April 9th
all age groups
The T-Shirt Stand opens at
4:00
We will only have that age
group on that day.
1st Day
The first day will be very
busy with pictures and games so please arrive 10-15 minutes
early for your pictures so we can stay on schedule.
The game schedules have been coordinated with the picture
schedules to minimize conflicts. However, if your pictures are
being taken during a game time we will start that game as soon
as pictures have been taken.
Season
The season begins April 10th
and will run 8 weeks skipping Memorial Day weekend.
Games on the last weekend will be played in a tournament
style, which will incorporate a more competitive atmosphere.
The coaches have been instructed to use the first seven
weeks to teach. We
do not keep any records for those weeks even though the children
will. On Saturday
May 22nd we will hold a General Meeting in which we
will be voting on new board positions.
The following positions will be up if anyone would like
to run please let a board member know before May 15th
so we can put you on the ballet( President, Secretary, and 3
members at large).
Also, as always, we are looking for volunteers to help in the
concession stand, set up in the morning, clean up at the end of
the day, and refereeing.
